# Leveling Guide

Leveling in **Siege of Midgard RO** is much faster than in a low-rate server, but that does not mean you should level without a plan. A smart leveling route helps you gain levels quickly, save supplies, and prepare for farming and gear progression much sooner.

This guide will help beginners understand how to level efficiently from early game to a more stable farming stage.

### Leveling Goals

Your goal is not only to gain levels as fast as possible.

You should also use the leveling process to:

* learn your class
* unlock important skills
* get used to your damage and survivability
* collect useful loot
* prepare for your first farming routes
* build toward your starter gear setup

Fast leveling is good, but efficient leveling is better.

### Before You Start

Before going out to level, make sure you do the following:

* claim your starter support
* bring basic supplies if needed
* turn on `@autoloot`
* use the Healer when available
* use the Warper to save time
* keep enough inventory space for drops

These simple steps make early leveling much smoother.

### Early Leveling Tips

During your first levels, focus on monsters you can kill quickly and safely.

As a beginner, avoid maps where:

* monsters take too long to kill
* you need too many potions to survive
* mob density is too high for your current gear
* travel time is longer than the EXP feels worth

A good leveling map is not always the hardest one. It is the one where you can keep killing consistently.

### General Leveling Strategy

A simple leveling strategy for most players looks like this:

#### Kill Fast, Not Slow

Choose monsters you can defeat quickly instead of monsters that are stronger but inefficient.

#### Keep Moving

Do not stay idle in town too long. On a high-rate server, steady grinding gives fast results.

#### Use Your Skills Properly

Practice your skill rotation early so you can level faster and prepare for farming later.

#### Pick Up Useful Loot

Even while leveling, useful drops can help your economy.

#### Upgrade Your Route as You Get Stronger

Once a map becomes too easy or inefficient, move to a better area.

### Early Game Leveling

At the start, your main focus should be reaching a comfortable level where your class begins to feel stable.

During this phase:

* prioritize quick EXP
* do not overthink farming yet
* use simple gear and starter support
* learn your class basics
* aim to unlock your key early skills

This stage is about momentum.

### Mid-Level Progression

Once your character has enough levels and core skills, start being more selective with your grinding spots.

At this point, a good leveling map should offer a mix of:

* strong EXP
* manageable monster difficulty
* decent loot value
* efficient mob density
* low downtime

This is also the stage where some players begin mixing leveling with light farming so they can build zeny while progressing.

### High-Level Leveling

As you get closer to your higher level goals, leveling may become less about pure EXP and more about total efficiency.

At this stage, ask yourself:

* does this map give good EXP and useful loot?
* am I spending too many supplies here?
* is this map worth it compared to my current damage?
* should I focus on leveling, farming, or both?

For many players, the best route is a map where both EXP and farming value are reasonable.

### Class Matters

Your best leveling route depends heavily on your class.

For example:

* melee classes may prefer maps with easy mob access and low ranged pressure
* ranged classes may level faster on maps where kiting is easy
* magic classes may perform better where mobs group well
* support or slower solo classes may need safer routes first

Because of this, there is no single perfect map for every class. Use this guide as a principle-based route, then adjust based on your build.

### Use the Server’s Quality-of-Life Features

Siege of Midgard RO includes features that make leveling faster and less frustrating.

Helpful tools include:

* **Warper**
* **Healer**
* **Auto Loot**
* **Storage Anywhere**\
  \&#xNAN;*(except in restricted maps such as PK / WoE / KoE areas)*

Use these to reduce travel time, recover faster, and keep your leveling sessions efficient.

### When to Stop Pure Leveling

A common beginner mistake is focusing only on levels and ignoring everything else.

Once you reach a decent level and can survive well, start asking:

* do I need better gear now?
* should I start farming zeny?
* should I learn custom systems next?
* am I ready for better farming spots?

Leveling alone does not complete your progression. At some point, you need to shift into gear, economy, and system knowledge.

### Good Beginner Leveling Habits

Build these habits early:

* keep your inventory organized
* sell only the items you do not need
* save useful materials
* watch which monsters give both EXP and value
* keep your build focused
* do not spread stats and skills randomly
* move to better maps once your current one becomes inefficient

These habits make a big difference over time.

### Common Leveling Mistakes

Try to avoid these mistakes:

* staying too long on weak maps
* choosing monsters that are too hard for your gear
* ignoring loot while grinding
* forgetting to use `@autoloot`
* wasting time traveling manually when warper is available
* leveling without a class plan
* rushing into dangerous maps for no reason

A stable route is better than a chaotic one.

### Beginner Leveling Checklist

Before each leveling session, check this:

* Is my gear equipped properly?
* Do I have enough healing or support?
* Is `@autoloot` on?
* Am I on a map I can farm efficiently?
* Am I leveling toward a goal, not just randomly grinding?

If the answer is yes, you are probably on a good path.

### After Leveling

Once you have reached a comfortable level range, your next priority should be one or more of the following:

* improving your starter equipment
* earning stable zeny
* learning good farming spots
* exploring custom systems
* refining your class build

That is why the next beginner guides are important.

### Summary

To level efficiently in Siege of Midgard RO:

* focus on fast and safe kills
* use Warper, Healer, and Auto Loot
* choose maps based on efficiency, not just difficulty
* learn your class while leveling
* pick up useful loot along the way
* shift into farming and gear progression once your levels are stable

A strong leveling path gives you the foundation you need for everything that comes next.
