# Server Rules

To keep Siege of Midgard RO fun, fair, and welcoming for everyone, all players are expected to follow the server rules at all times.

These rules are in place to protect the community, maintain balance, and ensure that everyone can enjoy the game in a respectful environment. By playing on the server, you agree to follow these rules.

### Respect All Players

Treat other players with respect.

Friendly competition is part of Ragnarok Online, but harassment, personal attacks, hate speech, discrimination, or repeated toxic behavior will not be tolerated.

This includes:

* Insulting or targeting other players in chat
* Offensive, abusive, or discriminatory language
* Bullying, threats, or harassment
* Creating unnecessary drama that disrupts the community

Healthy competition is welcome. Toxic behavior is not.

### No Cheating or Exploiting

Any form of cheating is strictly prohibited.

Players may not use third-party programs, unauthorized tools, or any method that gives an unfair advantage over others.

This includes:

* Bots, macro abuse, or automated gameplay outside of allowed server systems
* Hacks, cheats, or modified clients
* Bug abuse or exploit abuse
* Using unintended mechanics for personal gain
* Bypassing official game limitations through unauthorized means

If you discover a bug or exploit, report it to the staff team instead of abusing it.

### Account Responsibility

You are responsible for your own account.

Do not share your account details with other players. Staff members will never ask for your password.

The server is not responsible for losses caused by:

* Shared accounts
* Weak passwords
* Personal negligence
* Unauthorized access caused by the player

Protect your account and keep your login information private.

### No Impersonation

Pretending to be a staff member, helper, moderator, or another player is not allowed.

Players must not:

* Use names intended to mislead others
* Pretend to represent the server team
* Falsely claim staff authority
* Mislead players by impersonating trusted community members

This creates confusion and may result in penalties.

### Fair Play in the Economy

The server economy is an important part of progression, so players are expected to participate fairly.

The following are not allowed:

* Scamming other players
* Exploiting pricing errors through deception
* Abusing bugs to generate items or currency
* Real-money trading if prohibited by server policy
* Any activity that intentionally harms the in-game economy

Trade carefully and report suspicious behavior when necessary.

### Appropriate Names and Messages

Character names, guild names, pet names, vending titles, chat rooms, and other public text must remain appropriate.

The following are not allowed:

* Offensive or explicit names
* Hate-related or discriminatory content
* Harassing or insulting names/messages
* Staff impersonation names
* Anything clearly intended to provoke or disrupt

Staff may require players to change inappropriate names.

### Multi-Client and Alternate Accounts

If the server has specific rules regarding multi-clienting, dual login, or alternate accounts, players must follow those limits exactly.

Do not use multiple accounts to abuse systems, gain unfair rewards, manipulate events, or bypass intended restrictions.

If a system is meant to be limited per player, attempting to bypass it through alternate accounts may be treated as abuse.

### PvP, WoE, and Competitive Conduct

PvP and WoE are naturally competitive, but rules still apply.

Players may compete, fight, and challenge one another, but they may not:

* Exploit bugs during PvP or WoE
* Harass players outside normal competition
* Use unauthorized tools or cheats
* Coordinate abuse of broken mechanics
* Intentionally disrupt the server beyond normal gameplay

Win through skill, strategy, and preparation.

### Follow Staff Decisions

The staff team is here to maintain fairness and order on the server.

Players are expected to cooperate with official staff instructions during investigations, disputes, events, or rule enforcement. Arguing aggressively, refusing to cooperate, or repeatedly causing issues may lead to further action.

Staff decisions are made to protect the server and community.

### Report Problems Properly

If you encounter any of the following, report them through the proper channels:

* Bugs
* Exploits
* Harassment
* Scam attempts
* Rule violations
* Suspicious player behavior

Do not take matters into your own hands if it creates more problems. Reporting issues properly helps the staff resolve them faster.

### Penalties and Enforcement

Breaking server rules may result in penalties depending on the severity of the offense.

Possible actions may include:

* Warning
* Jail or temporary restriction
* Suspension
* Account penalty
* Permanent ban

Severe violations may result in immediate action without prior warning.

### Final Reminder

These rules exist to keep Siege of Midgard RO enjoyable for everyone.

Please use common sense, respect the community, and play fairly. A strong server starts with a strong player community, and every player helps shape that experience.

If you are ever unsure whether something is allowed, [ask](https://discord.com/channels/1483066013498216550/1483124908392452136) the staff team first.
